Brent Albin is one of the friendly faces you’ll see at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Albin has been assisting guests on the property for 16 years, starting as an extra bell attendant. Today he’s the bell captain, a position he was promoted to eight years ago. “Service is the cornerstone of the Four Seasons experience,” Albin said. “If I am not assisting Four Seasons guests you can find me assisting another team member who is assisting our guests.” When Albin isn’t on the clock he enjoys checking out the city’s many shows and restaurants; he also enjoys shooting at the local ranges and surrounding desert and planning and completing home improvement projects with his wife. Albin offered some of his advice and tips on the city for VEGAS2GO readers.

What are some highlights of your property?
Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas is a non-smoking, non-gaming luxury hotel located on the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel has 424 luxurious guest rooms. We are home to two of the finest restaurants on the Strip, Veranda, which offers authentic Italian cuisine, and Charlie Palmer Steak. Our indoor/outdoor bar, Press, serves gourmet coffee in the morning and transforms into a cocktail bar in the evening. We have a brand new Nail Bar located on the main lobby floor.

Do you have any insider tips to getting the best out of a Las Vegas getaway?
Las Vegas has such a variety of things to do. So, I suggest you pick something that you are passionate about and plan your trip around it. If you can think of it, I am sure the city of Las Vegas and the surrounding areas has it to offer.

What offbeat tip can you offer visitors?
Take advantage of the Las Vegas surrounding areas, Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston and Hoover Dam. Also take advantage of the seven restaurants that have been open since the 1950s. You can find a list online or stop by our concierge desk for assistance.

Where can you see free entertainment?
Strip attractions such as the fountains and the conservatory at Bellagio and The Mirage volcano are a couple sights to see. The famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign
is perfect for photo ops and is just one mile from
our hotel.

What is your idea of the most romantic spot in
 Las Vegas?
I enjoy the outdoors, so my wife and I will take a drive to the Lodge at Mount Charleston for a nice evening on the deck overlooking the mountain and distant valley.

What are some things visitors can do in Las Vegas on a budget?
Take advantage of happy hours for food and drinks. Both Veranda and Press offer happy hour specials for a great value. Afternoon shows are available and two-for-one deals can be found if you preplan. Planning is a must for any getaway, and there are so many great offers available here.

What surprised you most about your job?
I have the ability to take ownership of things and follow them through from start to finish. It is such a pleasure to have that flexibility and knowing that my peers have the confidence in me to allow me to do so.

What is one of the best-kept secrets of Las Vegas?
If I told you that it wouldn’t be a secret—you will have to come to Four Seasons and ask me in person.
