Ted Allan, bell captain at M Resort, is a third-generation Las Vegan. Throughout his career here, Allan has been a part of the city’s history, working in some of the hot spots back in the day, like Jubilation nightclub in 1979, considered Las Vegas’ first true dance club. Allan’s career has also spread across multiple resort casinos including The Venetian and Caesars Palace, but for the past seven years he’s been with M Resort. His duties as bell captain include “supervising valet and bellman, booking and facilitating transportation,” he said. But the most important skills he practices are his “people skills, meaning you have to actually like people and have a helpful personality,” he said. Allan offered up some tips and advice on the city for VEGAS2GO readers.
